STEP 1: Pre-Screen Review
We review each referral for program fit, eligibility alignment, and current availability. You'll receive confirmation that we've received the referral.
STEP 2: Phone Interview
If approved for the next step, we'll call the Veteran to discuss housing needs, answer questions, and explain house expectations. This is a conversation, not an interrogation—we want to make sure we're a mutual fit.
STEP 3: Tour Coordination
Tours are scheduled with the Veterans. You'll see the property, meet current residents (if available), review house rules, and ask any questions.
STEP 4: Application & Screening
After a successful tour, the Veteran completes a formal rental application. This includes an administrative fee of $100 for document prep and $45 for the application.
STEP 5: Final Approval
Once the background check clears, we coordinate license signing, move-in scheduling, and house orientation.

What is the Waitlist?

If a Veteran is approved but no vacancy currently exists, they're placed on our priority waitlist.
The waitlist ensures qualified Veterans don’t have to restart the process when a room opens up.

About Bellhouse Home Solutions

Jon Belanger

Founder | Veteran Housing Director

Jon Belanger is a Navy Veteran, real estate professional, and the founder of Bellhouse Home Solutions — a company dedicated to creating safe, structured, community-driven housing for Veterans.

After serving his country, Jon became passionate about solving one of the most overlooked challenges Veterans face — stable, affordable, community-driven housing.

Seeing firsthand how many Veterans struggle with housing instability after service, Jon felt called to build something different. Not institutional. Not clinical. But homes — real homes — where Veterans can rebuild stability, find accountability, and live independently within a supportive community.

As a Veteran, licensed Realtor, former mortgage loan officer, and Business Operations graduate, Jon combines strategy with heart. His housing model partners with landlords and communities to turn everyday houses into places of dignity, structure, and forward momentum. His mission is simple:

Create housing that restores stability, builds community, and honors service.

Veterans aren’t trained to retire. They’re trained to serve, to lead, to push through adversity, and to live with purpose.

My goal is to offer a space where Veterans can live independently while staying connected.”
